A truck driver has been arrested in connection to a Thursday morning fatality accident involving a pedestrian.

Officers were called out just before 6 a.m. Thursday to the 700 block of South 4th Street in Manhattan for a hit-and-run accident, involving a cattle truck. Arriving officers discovered the body of a 32-year-old man at the scene, but have not released his name. Further details regarding his death weren’t provided.

Following a subsequent investigation, officers arrested Shane Jungemann, 48, of Jefferson City, South Dakota on a charge of failure to report an accident involving a fatality. He remains jailed on a $15,000 bond.

It’s unclear if Jungemann will face any additional charges.
