    Wamego softball clinches state berth in title defense

    Wamego softball is set to defend its state title, as the Red Raiders won the regional championship Tuesday night at home.

    The Red Raiders (21-4) took the opening game against the Independence Bulldogs, 12-4, then slipped past Baldwin, 4-3, to earn the return trip.
