    Officers filed a report for criminal possession of a weapon in the 1400 block of Colorado St. in Manhattan on June 13, 2025, at approximately 9:59 a.m. Donte Long, 24, of Manhattan was arrested for criminal possession of a weapon. Long was issued a total bond of $5,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report for aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery, domestic battery, criminal restraint, and abuse of a child in Manhattan on June 13, 2025, at approximately 12:00 p.m. A 33-year-old woman and a 11-year-old boy were listed as the victims and a 37-year-old man was listed as the suspect. Jaron Taitano, 37, of Manhattan was arrested for aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, criminal restraint, and abuse of a child. Taitano was issued a total bond of $75,000 and remains confined at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report for rape in Manhattan on June 13, 2025, at approximately 7:02 p.m. A 19-year-old woman was listed as the victim and a 19-year-old man known to her was listed as the suspect. Due to the nature of the crime reported, no additional information will be released.

    Officers filed a report for theft in the 100 block of Manhattan Town Center in Manhattan on June 14, 2025, at approximately 12:27 p.m. Ulta Beauty was listed as the victim and two unknown men were listed as the suspect when it was reported the two suspects took multiple items from the business. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,430.72. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

    Officers filed a report for battery, criminal threat and disorderly conduct in the 100 block of Manhattan Town Center in Manhattan on June 14, 2025, at approximately 4:53 p.m. A 26-year-old man was listed as the victim and a 45-year-old man was listed as the suspect when it was reported the suspect battered the victim and then threatened to harm him. Jimmy Ward, 45, of Junction City, KS was arrested for battery and criminal threat. Ward was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

    Officer filed a report for criminal threat in the 400 block of Riley Ave. in Ogden on June 14, 2025, at approximately 11:04 p.m. A 45-year-old man was listed as the victim and a 35-year-old man was listed as the suspect when it was reported the suspect threatened to harm the victim. Robert Gibbons, 35, of Ogden was arrested for criminal threat and on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear. This warrant stems from an original charge of criminal threat. Gibbons was issued a total bond of $16,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Officers filed a report for battery, battery on a law enforcement officer, assault of a law enforcement officer, and interference with a law enforcement officer in the 2300 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. in Manhattan on June 15, 2025, at approximately 3:15 a.m.  A 52-year-old woman, a 41-year-old man, a 34-year-old man and a 41-year-old man were listed as the victims and a 29-year-old man was listed as the suspect when it was reported the suspect battered two victims then battered and assaulted two law enforcement officers while interfering with the duties of the law enforcement officers. Andrei Karpechenkov, 29, of Palm Coast, FL was arrested for battery, battery on a law enforcement officer, assault of a law enforcement officer, and interference with a law enforcement officer. Karpechenkov was issued a total bond of $5,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Azucena Jimenez Duran, 21, of Manhattan was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation on June 15, 2025, at approximately 5:58 p.m. Jimenez Duran was issued a total bond of $5,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Melissa Carson, 38, of Manhattan was arrested for 11 counts of criminal trespass on June 15, 2025, at approximately 6:58 p.m. These charges were in connection to 11 reports filed for criminal trespass during the months of May and June 2025 in the 4400 block of Tuttle Creek Blvd. in Manhattan. Carson was issued a total bond of $15,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Tiffany Fernandez, 43, of Manhattan was arrested on Kansas Department of Corrections warrant for parole violation on June 15, 2025, at approximately 9:20 p.m. Fernandez was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

    Douglas Carson, 42, of Manhattan was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear on June 16, 2025, at approximately 3:17 a.m. This warrant stems from an original charge of residential burglary. Carson was issued a total bond of $10,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
