Officers filed a report for theft in the 500 block of N 14th St. in Manhattan on June 18, 2025, at approximately 7:41 a.m. A 25-year-old man was listed as the victim when it was reported an unknown suspect took his 2006 Hyundai Sonata. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,500. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Using the Crime Stoppers service can allow you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Aaron Finch, 38, of Manhattan was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation on June 18, 2025, at approximately 11:53 a.m. Finch was issued a total bond of $10,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

Thaddeus Jordan, 36, of Wichita, KS was arrested on a Sedgwick County District Court warrant for violation of the offender registration act on June 19, 2025, at approximately 2:25 p.m. Jordan was issued a total bond of $50,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Howard Amos, 21, of Manhattan was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear and a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for probation violation on June 19, 2025, at approximately 2:45 p.m. The failure to appear warrant stems from an original charge of domestic battery. Amos was issued a total bond of $7,000 and is no longer confined at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for disorderly conduct and criminal possession of a firearm near the intersection of N Scenic Dr. and Anderson Ave. in Manhattan on June 19, 2025. A 29-year-old man was listed as the suspect when it was reported he was riding a bicycle in and out of traffic and criminally in possession of a firearm. Sherman Sherin, 29, of Manhattan was arrested for disorderly conduct and criminal possession of a firearm. Sherin was issued a total bond of $5,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Brenda Landingham, 24, of Manhattan was arrested on a Riley County District Court warrant for failure to appear on June 19, 2025, at approximately 10:46 p.m. This warrant stems from an original charge of domestic battery. Landingham was issued a total bond of $5,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
