The RCPD responded to multiple incidents on June 27 and early June 28, including a mix of traffic accidents, battery, domestic violence, drug-related activity, and DUI arrests.
Among the notable incidents, officers were called to three injury crashes — one at Claflin Road and Westloop Place, another in the 11000 block of Anderson Avenue, and a third at Tuttle Cove Road and Highway 13. There were also several non-injury accidents reported throughout the day, including multiple at the intersection of East Poyntz Avenue and Tuttle Creek Boulevard.
Overnight, a battery incident was reported at Jimmy John’s on Moro Street, and officers responded to two fights in progress in the early hours of June 28 — one on Thurston Street and another on Vattier Street. A larceny report was filed at Classic Wine & Spirits Friday evening, and a second larceny report was filed later at the Riley County Jail. A domestic battery incident was also documented that day.
Four arrests were made in connection to these and other incidents. William Campuzano, 36, of Marysville, was arrested for a fourth DUI offense, interference with law enforcement, and driving while suspended. Shelby Dinger, 29, of Manhattan, was arrested for domestic battery. Alejandro Barrientez, 22, of Manhattan, was taken into custody for DUI and transporting an open container. Victor Lujan Cruz Jr., 32, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
