During Parks and Recreation’s report to the city commission on Tuesday, the plan to survey residents about their desire for indoor water facilities received mixed reactions.

Mayor Karen said she did not support a community survey about possibly adding an indoor water facility to CiCo Park. The survey has a projected cost of $22,000.

“Spending $22,000 to find out how people feel, to me, is a waste of money,” Mayor Karen McCulloh said. “I think we are not at a point where we can ask people on a survey if they are interested in supporting indoor water.”
