A Manhattan man was sentenced Tuesday in Riley County District Court to serve over 10 years with the Kansas Department of Corrections.

Jonathan Maldonado, 27, in November pleaded guilty to charges of kidnapping, aggravated residential burglary, aggravated assault, interference with law enforcement and domestic battery. Judge Grant Bannister sentenced him to 10 years two months with the KDOC for the first four counts, and six months in jail for domestic battery. Just under one year three months will be credited to Maldonado’s sentence, for time he’s already served in the case.
