The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office Friday morning issued a press release in an attempt to find witnesses to a fight in rural Wamego on July 3.

One person was taken to an area hospital for their injuries when the sheriff’s office responded to a report from an injury from a fight at a party in the area of Elm Slough (Slew) Rd and Traytons Lane.

Law enforcement has reportedly spoken with several people at the party, but are now asking the public for help identifying two vehicles and possible occupants who may have been witnessed the events.

One vehicle is described as dark colored sedan and the other vehicle is described as a white three-quarters to – 1 ton truck with rock lights in the wheel wells. It was reported that there were several unknown teenagers or young adults in the vehicles.

The sheriff’s office asks anyone with information to contact Detective Kidd at the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office at 785-457-3353, or leave an anonymous tip with crimestoppers.
