    Police board authorizes Rock the Plains contract, DEA task force participation

    The Riley County Law Enforcement Agency Board in their July meeting unanimously approved RCPD involvement in a regional federal task force and upcoming local music festival.

    Rock the Plains music festival comes to Tuttle Creek State Park in August, and have approached the Riley County Police Department for traffic assistance. RCPD Major Scott Hajek presented the proposed contract for service on the eighth and ninth of August, after the concerts both days. The board approved the contract in a 7 — 0 vote.
