Four individuals were arrested in Riley County between July 3 and July 4, 2025, according to the latest police reports. Brandon Charles Mallon, 26, of Manhattan, was taken into custody at 2:47 a.m. on July 4 for driving under the influence at a Kwik Shop on Anderson Avenue. His bond was set at $750. On July 3, 39-year-old Katrece Dawnnell Johnson of Manhattan was arrested around 5:36 p.m. for battery at a residence on College Heights Road. She remains confined at the Riley County Jail with a bond of $750. Earlier that day, Brandon James Norris, 27, of Topeka, was booked at the jail at 12:31 p.m. on a warrant for probation violation. He is also confined but has no bond listed. The fourth arrest involved 32-year-old Javontae Dashon Darby of Manhattan, taken into custody around 9:19 a.m. for multiple thefts totaling under $1,500 from three businesses within a 72-hour span. His bond was set at $4,000.
Additionally, Riley County Police issued several traffic citations over the past few days. Gary Young Jr., 41, of Manhattan, received two citations on July 1 for unsafe passing and no proof of motor vehicle liability on Hayes Drive. On the same day, David Vicker, 52, of Kansas City, was cited for inattentive driving at El Paso Lane and South 6th Street. Two individuals were cited on McCall Road in Manhattan—Joan Cahoj, 68, of Wamego, for unsafe turning or stopping, and Joan Savage, 47, of Junction City, for driving with a suspended license. Other citations included failure to yield, failure to stop at a red light, and failure to render aid.
