A small committee will form this week to address road closures in Aggieville after several concerned Aggieville business owners spoke up during the monthly meeting of the Riley County Law Enforcement Agency Board on Monday.

They expressed continued concerns about the perception the district gets from streets into the area being shut down on Friday and Saturday nights, and the decline in business they say it’s caused.

Executive director of the Aggieville Business Association, Dennis Cook, told the board that through his seven years as director, he’s pushed for increased safety and security in the area.
