    RCPD announces multi-disciplinary assessment team

    Riley County Police Department announced a new team for multi-disciplinary assessment to combat behavioral threats. On Thursday, RCPD director Brian Peete told the Riley County commissioners about the department’s efforts in threat assessment.

    “It’s a multi-disciplinary group of professionals — law enforcement, prosecution, community mental health, a whole bunch of other folks — that when threats or potential threats or issues of concern come in, we’re able to have a multi-disciplinary approach,” Peete said.
