The RCPD reported 24 incidents and 11 arrests between Aug. 22 and Aug. 23.
According to the incident log, officers responded to multiple calls including non-injury crashes on Eureka Terrace, N. Manhattan Avenue and Beechwood Terrace. Reports also included larcenies at Walmart and Rickel’s Liquor in Manhattan, a criminal threat at Ogden Elementary, and several domestic-related cases. Officers additionally handled a DUI arrest early Saturday morning at Leavenworth Street and N. 14th Street.
Among the arrests, 21-year-old Caitlyn Nicole Norman of Junction City was arrested for driving under the influence after a stop in the 300 block of N. 14th Street. Bond was set at $750. Richard D. Santiago, 63, of Manhattan was taken into custody early Saturday for domestic battery and interference with law enforcement, with bond set at $5,000. Police also arrested 26-year-old Samuel Jordan Zachary Thomas of Junction City for DUI, 42-year-old Stacie Renae Espinosa of Topeka for probation violation, and 36-year-old Christopher James Collins of Lincoln, Nebraska on an extradition warrant.
Additional arrests over the two days involved probation violations, theft, and shoplifting charges.
