The RCPD responded to a series of incidents over the weekend, including two arrests for driving under the influence, a report of fraud, multiple thefts, and an investigation into an unattended death.

Officers arrested 27-year-old Maura Gail O’Brien of Wamego and 25-year-old Jabari Nashon Howard of Manhattan in separate DUI incidents early Sunday morning. Both were arrested for first-time DUI offenses with bond set at $750. A third individual, 46-year-old Randy Eugene Thrasher of Manhattan, was arrested Saturday morning in the 400 block of Fort Riley Boulevard on a warrant for failure to appear. His bond was set at $168.

Officer also responded to a reported fraud case in Ogden, a theft at Pebblebrook Apartments, and a reported shoplifting incident at 540’s Smoke and Vape on Moro Street. Officers also responded to two found property reports, one welfare check, and an unattended death late Saturday night at a residence on Legore Lane.

Anyone with information about a crime can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
