Two women from Kentucky were taken to the hospital Friday evening after a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 in Wabaunsee County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, 61-year-old Leea S. Brown of Morganfield was driving a 2017 Ford Explorer westbound near the Flintview Road overpass around 7:32 p.m. when the SUV struck the right guardrail. Brown then overcorrected, hitting the left guardrail before coming to rest in the left lane.

Brown and a passenger, 31-year-old Victoria L. Pruitt of Henderson, Kentucky, both reported possible injuries and were transported to Stormont Vail Hospital. A third passenger, a 6-month-old girl from Kansas City, Kansas, was not injured.
