Rock Creek set the tone early in its 2025 opener, shutting out Bishop Ward 51-0 on Friday night.

The Mustangs (1-0) built a 27-0 halftime lead behind senior running back Zion Bell, who carried 18 times for 161 yards and four touchdowns. He scored on runs of 34, 6, 2 and 3 yards to pace the offense.

Junior quarterback Gavin Rosa settled in during his first start as the full-time signal-caller, completing 7 of 10 passes for 86 yards and two touchdowns. He connected with Jacob Perkins on a 20-yard strike in the first quarter and found Luke Skinner from 21 yards out in the third. Rosa also added 25 rushing yards on the ground.
