Police filed a report of two counts of battery on a law enforcement officer and one count of attempted battery around 3:50 p.m. Sept. 2 in the 1800 block of College Avenue. Officers said 38-year-old Dylan Peterson kicked an officer while being restrained on Sept. 1, then battered a corrections officer and attempted to assault another the following day.

Peterson was taken into custody at 4:14 p.m. Sept. 2 on charges of battery of a law enforcement officer, attempted battery of a law enforcement officer and battery of a university/campus officer. He was issued a $16,000 bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
