Former Fort Riley soldier Joshue Sandoval Serrano was found guilty of rape and two counts of aggravated sexual battery by a jury Thursday in Riley County District Court.
Sandoval Serrano, 23, was arrested in 2024 for the rape committed against a woman, also 23, in the early morning hours of Oct. 28, 2023.
The Mercury is not publishing the victim’s name because of the nature of the crimes.
