A Junction City man pleaded guilty to charges of residential burglary, aggravated domestic battery and violation of a protection order Monday in Riley County District Court after reaching a deal with prosecutors.
Marcus Jackson, 37, told Judge John Bosch the charges are tied to an incident at to the residence of a woman born in 1990 who is the mother of his child. In exchange for Jackson’s guilty plea, the state, represented by assistant Riley County attorney Christina Trocheck, agreed to dismiss four remaining charges including aggravated kidnapping. In the plea agreement, both the state and defense recommend a sentence of probation.
