Manhattan High cross country launched its 2025 season on home turf, hosting the Manhattan Invitational at Warner Park on Saturday with standout performances across both the boys and girls races.

Head coach Susan Melgares said the day felt like the perfect kickoff.

“We’re so excited to get the season started,” Melgares said. “We began summer training back in June, so it’s fun to finally get out here and challenge ourselves against other teams. And it was such a beautiful day — probably the best weather we’ve had in 20 years.”
