    Police investigating $5K forgery at Manhattan business

    Riley County Police are investigating a forgery case reported Saturday afternoon at a Manhattan business.

    Officers filed the report Sept. 27 around 12:54 p.m. in the 200 block of Johnson Road. Police said Mid America Piano was listed as the victim after an unknown suspect forged a business check. The total loss was estimated at $5,000.

    Anyone with information is asked to contact RCPD or Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Tips submitted through Crime Stoppers allow callers to remain anonymous and may qualify for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
