Police are investigating a string of tire slashings reported over the past week in several west-side neighborhoods.

The Junction City Police Department said officers have responded to numerous calls about damaged vehicles in the 200 to 400 blocks of West 5th and West 6th streets, with additional reports coming from nearby areas. Investigators believe the incidents occurred between Sept. 7 and the morning of Sept. 13.

Authorities are asking residents in the affected areas to inspect their vehicles and review home or business security camera footage for any suspicious activity.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Junction City Police Department at 785-762-5912. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Geary County Crime Stoppers at 785-762-8477.
