    RCPD, Aggieville still clashing on district road blocks

    A special committee formed to address discord between RCPD and the Aggieville Business Association met earlier this month, but at September’s meeting of the Riley County Law Enforcement Agency Board, tensions ran high as no understanding was reached between the two sides.

    Board member Craig Beardsley volunteered last month to form a small committee and serve as a representative of the board alongside members of the Riley County Police Department and the Aggieville Business Association.

    The goal of the committee is to address concerns from district business owners and the public about RCPD road closures in the area and the perception it’s created regarding safety and access in the district.
