By Paul Parker on September 13, 2025 RCPD Reports

Riley County Police responded to more than 20 incidents late last week, including accidents, drug activity, fraud, larceny, and two reported sex offenses, according to department logs.

Among the calls, officers investigated an injury crash Friday afternoon at North Main Street and Madison Road in Riley, as well as several non-injury crashes across Manhattan. Police also responded to a reported criminal threat at Flint Hills Job Corps and documented domestic disturbances on Friday and early Saturday. A drug case was reported just after midnight Saturday at Tate’s in Aggieville, along with a larceny at a Humboldt Street address hours later.

Eight arrests were made during the reporting period. Those included three DUI arrests — 22-year-old Ariana Nichole Fletcher, 37-year-old John Matthew Chubb, and 52-year-old Sean Leslie Mellstrom, who was also charged with operating a vehicle without a required ignition interlock device. Other arrests included 21-year-old Aler Lee Glenn of Manhattan on suspicion of domestic battery, 43-year-old Kenneth Wayne Endicott Jr. of St. George on a theft charge, and 45-year-old Maurice Dwayne McGee of Ogden on an extradition warrant. Two others, Abigail Annamaria Edwards and Derek Williams Jr., were jailed on failure-to-appear warrants.

In total, 24 incidents and eight arrests were recorded.

Anyone with information about a crime can contact Crime Stoppers. Using Crime Stoppers allows you to remain anonymous and could qualify you for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
