Heavy rain is blamed for a crash that injured three people Monday afternoon in Geary County.
The Highway Patrol says 24-year-old Riley Brungardt of Hoisington lost control of his Jeep on eastbound I-70 near Moritz Road, hitting a Buick parked on the shoulder and pushing it into a Ford pickup.
Brungardt and two people in the Buick, 63-year-old Tammy Bevan-Tyler of Overland Park and 60-year-old Mark Taylor of Olathe, suffered minor injuries. Only Brungardt was taken to the hospital.
The pickup driver, 24-year-old Jake Sobonilla of Fort Riley, was not hurt.
