    $50K in valuables stolen from Manhattan home

    Authorities are investigating a residential burglary reported Wednesday morning in the 2700 block of Heartland Valley Road.

    According to the Riley County Police Department, officers responded at approximately 9:21 a.m. on Oct. 9 after a 58-year-old man reported that an unknown suspect entered his home and stole multiple items, including watches, clothing and other valuables.

    The estimated loss is approximately $50,000.

    Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the RCPD or Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Tips submitted to Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
