As colder weather approaches, homeless shelters are anticipating an uptick in the amount of people utilizing their resources.
Manhattan Emergency Shelter Inc. director Emily Wagner said the center at 416 S. 4th St. is one place where folks can go to temporarily beat the cold.
“We’ll see more people coming into shelter and asking for shelter, so that makes me happy just to know that they’re warm and they’re in a facility or a building,” she said.
