    JCPD arrests man in Tuesday night altercation

    A suspect is in custody following a Tuesday evening disturbance in Junction City that injured multiple people.

    Junction City Police say 27-year-old Jesse Bailey III Wednesday morning on a charge of aggravated battery in connection to an incident in the 800 block of South Washington Street. Police say three people were transported to the local hospital for injuries ranging from blunt force trauma to stab wounds. None of the injuries were considered life-threatening.

    The names of the others involved have not been released.

    While initially suggested as a possible shooting, officers have determined no firearm was involved in the incident.

    Police are continuing to investigate.
