    LAWRENCE — The streak lives.

After fighting through a rough first half of the season, Kansas State football continues to look like the team Wildcat fans were expecting to take the field back in August, and that showed in Saturday’s 42-17 win over rival Kansas at the newly renovated David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium in Lawrence.

The win is K-State’s 17th in a row, stretching back to the start of Bill Snyder’s second tenure in 2009. The Wildcats (4-4, 3-2 Big 12) have now won two straight games this season and three of their last four.

    K-State outgained the Jayhawks (4-4, 2-3) 371 to 247.
