    Manhattan man jailed on failure-to-appear warrant

    A Manhattan man was arrested Sunday afternoon on a warrant for failure to appear in court, according to the Riley County Police Department.

    Damond Russell, 25, was taken into custody at approximately 4:18 p.m. on Oct. 19 in the 600 block of 3rd Place. The warrant was issued by Riley County District Court and stems from original charges of domestic battery and possession of marijuana.

    Russell was issued a total bond of $20,000 and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
