Manhattan High girls’ golf punched its ticket back to state in emphatic fashion Monday, dominating the Dodge City sub-state at Mariah Hills Golf Course with a team score of 299 to win by 37 strokes.

In cold and windy conditions, the defending Class 6A state champions didn’t flinch. Junior Maddie Myers fired a 3-under-par 70 to claim medalist honors, while senior Kat Ball finished close behind with a 1-under 72 for runner-up. The duo became the only players in the field to finish under par as Manhattan placed all six golfers inside the top 10.
