Vladimir Tamayo, 35, of Fort Riley, was arrested on Oct. 1, 2025 at approximately 11 p.m. at Fort Riley on a Riley County District Court warrant for aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery and criminal threat. This arrest stems from a report filed in July 2025. Tamayo was issued a total bond of $6,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
Officers responded to the report of an injury crash near the intersection of Bluemont Ave. and 4th Street on Oct. 1 at approximately 12:35 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a 2011 Toyota Prius driven by Ahmed Azizi, 24, of Manhattan, had struck a man on an E-bike, Bowen Hou, 32, of Manhattan. Hou was transported to Via Christi for treatment of his injuries. Azizi was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way to pedestrian crossing.
Officers filed a report for forgery in the 500 block of Fort Riley Blvd. on Oct. 1 at approximately 9:04 a.m. Carpet One and Kansas State Bank were listed as the victims when it was reported an unknown suspect stole a business check and deposited it.
