Officers filed a report of theft in the 1900 block of Crescent Drive in Manhattan at approximately 11:37 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2025. A 34-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported a suspect known to her entered her home and took a safe. The estimated total loss associated with this case is $1,350.
Officers filed a report of fraud at approximately 6:12 p.m. on Oct. 20 in Manhattan. A 57-year-old woman was listed as the victim when it was reported unknown individuals falsely identified themselves as law enforcement and asked for payment for a legal matter. The estimated total loss associated with this case is $1,500.
Dawn Nichols, 38, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 11:20 a.m. on Oct. 20 in the 1300 block of Old Claflin Road on a Mitchell County District Court warrant for possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and four counts of use/possess with intent to use drug paraphernalia. Nichols was issued a total bond of $10,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
Dania Decoteau, 41, of Manhattan, was arrested at approximately 9:20 a.m. on Oct. 20 in the 100 block of Courthouse Plaza on a Kansas Department of Corrections warrant for parole violation. Decoteau was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
