Riley County police officers responded to several incidents over the weekend, including a reported robbery, shots-fired call and multiple arrests across the community.
According to RCPD activity logs, officers were called late Saturday night to the 1300 block of Marlatt Avenue at Country Meadow Residences for a reported robbery. Police also investigated a shots-fired report earlier in the evening near the 300 block of North 5th Street.
Among the weekend arrests, Jared Jesse Rodriguez Espinoza, 23, of Kansas City, Kansas, was taken into custody early Saturday on I-70 for aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer, fleeing or attempting to elude, DUI, and multiple traffic violations. He remains confined at the Riley County Jail.
Tate Cole Miller, 22, of Manhattan, was arrested later that evening in the 300 block of North 5th Street for criminal damage to property valued between $1,000 and $25,000. David Daniel DeJesus Roman, 28, of Ogden, was arrested on theft and interference charges along with driving without a license. Michael Cortez, 41, of Manhattan, was arrested on an extradition warrant, and Manfred Adrien Elocka Ngom, 30, of Manhattan, was taken into custody on a failure-to-appear warrant
