    Officers responded to the report of an injury crash near the intersection North Manhattan Avenue and Fremont Street on Oct. 6, 2025 at approximately 10:23 p.m. Upon arrival, officers found a Lexus driven by Claire Holt, 21, of Manhattan, had struck a man on an electric scooter, Philip Trice-Ortega, 18, of Manhattan. Trice-Ortega was transported to Via Christi for treatment of his injuries. Holt was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way at a stop sign.

    Officers filed a report for aggravated battery and criminal threat in Manhattan on Oct. 6 at approximately 9:43 p.m. A 12-year-old male was listed as the victim and a 14-year-old male was listed as the suspect. Rashauad Herbert, 14, of Manhattan, was arrested for aggravated battery and criminal threat on Oct. 6 at approximately 10:32 p.m. Herbert was issued no bond and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.

    Nichole Morehead, 22, of Ogden, was arrested on Oct. 6 at approximately 11:15 a.m. in the 1000 block of Seth Child Road on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation. This arrest stems from original charges of distribution of fentanyl, unlawful use of a telecommunication facility to distribute fentanyl, and theft. Morehead was issued no bond and remains confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.
