Riley County Police say a Manhattan man has been arrested in connection with Saturday’s shooting at the Country Meadow Residences on Marlatt Avenue.

Officers say 38-year-old Jacques Toliver turned himself in Tuesday afternoon and was booked into the Riley County Jail on charges including attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault, and criminal discharge of a firearm. He’s being held on a $1 million bond.

The arrest stems from a Saturday afternoon shooting that left a 35-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds. Police responded just before 2 p.m. and the victim was taken to Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.

RCPD says the investigation is still ongoing.
