City officials are making progress on a major road project in Manhattan.
Concrete placement began Tuesday morning along Anderson Avenue, which will remain fully closed through Sunday from Connecticut Avenue to Canfield Road after city officials were advised of potential inclement winter weather this weekend. The project includes concrete paving and major waterline work.
The work is part of a multi-year effort continuing through 2027 to replace the aging waterline beneath the roadway. Public works crews are upgrading the roadway and stormwater infrastructure and also adding new ADA-accessible sidewalks in the area.
