    Former Fort Riley soldier sentenced to nearly 14 years for rape

    Former Fort Riley soldier was sentenced Monday to 13 years and 10 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections. In September, Joshue Sandoval Serrano, 23, was found guilty of rape and two counts of aggravated sexual battery.

    Judge Grant Bannister in Riley County District Court sentenced Serrano to 166 months for the count of rape and 32 months for each count of aggravated sexual battery. The sentences will run concurrently.
