    Leawood man sentenced to 5 years for aggravated battery

    A Leawood man was sentenced Monday at Riley County District Court to five years and four months in the Kansas Department of Corrections for two counts of aggravated battery.

    Dylan Zeller, 19, pleaded no contest to two counts of aggravated battery. He was originally on trial for rape and aggravated sexual battery. The incident occurred Aug. 30, 2024 against a woman who was 18 at the time.

    Because of the nature of the crime, the victim is unnamed.
