Light snow possible this weekend with single-digit wind chills Sunday

By KMAN Staff on November 28, 2025 Local News, Weather Stories

Light rain is expected to develop across northeast Kansas Friday evening before transitioning to light snow from north to south through Saturday, according to forecasters.

Snow accumulations are expected to remain minimal for most of the region, with trace amounts likely. However, far northern Kansas near the Nebraska border could see totals approaching 1 inch, which may lead to minor travel impacts.

Much colder air will move into the area Saturday night, bringing single-digit wind chills by Sunday morning. High temperatures are expected to remain below freezing Sunday into Monday as the cold air mass settles in.

Forecasters also say widespread light snow is possible early Monday morning into the afternoon, though exact snowfall totals remain uncertain. Amounts around 1 inch are possible depending on how the system develops.

Stay tuned to News Radio KMAN for the latest updates. Drivers planning to travel Saturday are encouraged to check kandrive.org for current road conditions.
