    Manhattan woman arrested on battery, theft charges

    A Manhattan woman was arrested Saturday afternoon following an incident involving theft, disorderly conduct and multiple counts of battery on law enforcement officers.

    Riley County Police officers filed a report around 4:35 p.m. Nov. 22, 2025, in the 3000 block of Anderson Avenue for theft of property or services, disorderly conduct and three counts of battery of a law enforcement officer. Victims listed in the report included three men, ages 59, 48 and 28. Leap was also listed as a victim.

    According to police, 29-year-old Karen Parra of Manhattan was taken into custody about 4:53 p.m. Parra was arrested on three counts of battery of a law enforcement officer, along with theft of property or services and disorderly conduct.

    Parra was issued a total bond of $5,000 and is no longer confined in the Riley County Jail.
