Kansas State forward Kennedy Taylor shoots through the Eastern Illinois defense during their non-conference game, Dec. 3, at Bramlage Coliseum.

Kansas State women’s basketball player Kennedy Taylor has had her waiver for a fifth season of eligibility denied by the NCAA, the school announced on Sunday.

A 6-foot-2, forward, Taylor joined the Wildcats in the summer of 2024. She had petitioned the NCAA for a fifth year of college eligibility after starting her career at Colorado in 2021-22 where she played in only eight games for a total of 19 minutes. She then played two seasons at Missouri State (2022-24) before joining the Wildcats.

“Thank you for an amazing senior year!!,” Taylor said in a social media post Sunday afternoon. “There’s no place I’d rather finish my college career at!! Forever a wildcat #EMAW”

During her season in Manhattan in 2024-25, Taylor played in 36 games with 12 starts and logged 455 minutes of action (12.6 mpg). She carded 256 points (7.1 ppg) and tallied 13 games with 10 or more points while shooting a career-high 53.4 percent from the field (95-of-178). Was 66-of-83 (.795) from the foul line. She pulled in 167 rebounds (4.6 rpg), blocked 16 shots and pocketed 19 steals.
