    The Riley County Police Department reported a single arrest early Sunday morning, November 9, 2025.

    According to the arrest report, 21-year-old Jone Maiwiriwiri Kauvesi of Fort Riley was taken into custody by the Kansas Highway Patrol around 1:32 a.m. on probable cause for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Authorities noted competent evidence of a blood or breath alcohol concentration of .08 or higher.

    Kauvesi was also cited for failing to wear a seatbelt as required by Kansas law. His bond was set at $1,500, and he was confined at the Riley County Jail following his arrest.
