An Ogden man was arrested Sunday afternoon after allegedly driving his vehicle toward Riley County police officers.

Riley County Police say officers filed the report around 3:25 p.m. Dec. 21 in the 20000 block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard. A 22-year-old suspect reportedly drove his vehicle at two officers — a 34-year-old man and a 25-year-old man — before striking a gate that then hit both officers.

At approximately 4:20 p.m., officers arrested 22-year-old Ashton Troughton of Ogden in the same area. Troughton faces two counts of aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer and two counts of attempted aggravated assault of a law enforcement officer.

He was issued a total bond of $50,000 and remained confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of the report.
