Rock Creek players celebrate together after defeating Hays 56–32 in the championship game of the inaugural Flurry on Flush tournament Saturday at Rock Creek High School.

Rock Creek boys’ basketball capped a perfect week by winning the inaugural Flurry on Flush tournament, finishing 3–0 during the three-day event to remain unbeaten on the season.

The Mustangs opened tournament play with a 66–29 win over Buhler on Dec. 18, followed by a 68–61 victory against Eudora before closing the tournament with a 56–32 win over Hays on Friday.

Rock Creek’s title run came against a diverse field featuring programs from multiple leagues and classifications. Gavin Rosa was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player after helping lead the Mustangs through the championship bracket.

Rock Creek girls’ basketball went 1–2 during Flurry on Flush play, opening the tournament with a 53–42 win over Buhler before dropping games to Eudora (58–55) and Hays (55–45). In the opening-round win, Rory Pitzer scored a game-high 17 points, with Kylee Frazee adding 14.

Despite the losses later in the week, Rock Creek earned all-tournament recognition, with Pitzer and Frazee both named to the All-Tournament Team. The Mustangs entered the week undefeated before the tournament stretch and now sit at 4–2 overall.
