The Boys and Girls Club Early Learning Center is closing its doors. Officials say financial challenges led to the decision to close the facility. The closure will be effective Dec. 19.

The Early Learning Center opened at 3560 Dempsey Road in July 2024.

“This decision was made after much deliberation and efforts to secure additional funding to offset ongoing financial challenges that have made continued operation of the ELC permanently unsustainable,” said Brady Armstrong, interim executive chief officer of the Boys and Girls Club of Manhattan.
