PJ Haggerty scored 24 points — 23 in the second half — as Kansas State men’s basketball closed its non-conference slate with a 94-85 win over Louisiana-Monroe.
It was a slow start, but Haggerty found his rhythm.
Haggerty, the Wildcats’ leading scorer, entered the contest averaging 22.8 points per game but scored just one point in the first half after shooting 0-7 from the floor in the opening 12 minutes of play.
Haggerty also led an 11-3 K-State run, scoring nine points in the opening three minutes of the second half. His 23-point total in the second half against the Warhawks is the most by any player for K-State in a single half this season. He finished the game shooting 7 of 16 from the floor.
