K-13 North of Manhattan to Close Jan. 5 for Long-Term Construction Project

A long term road closure begins next week.

K-13 will be closed starting Monday, Jan. 5, from just south of Tuttle Cove Road to the U.S. 24 roundabout. The closure is needed for a culvert replacement as part of the U.S. 24 roundabout project and is expected to last until spring of 2026.

KDOT says Tuttle Cove Road will remain accessible from the north during the closure. Marked detours will be in place using K-99, K-16, and U.S. 77, and drivers may also use local roads.

Officials say all work is weather dependent and urge motorists to watch for signage and use caution in work zones.
