The Kansas State University Police Department announced on Thursday the retirement of its long-standing chief of police, Ronnie Grice.
After over four decades of service dedicated to public safety and higher education, Grice, assistant vice president for university police and public safety and chief of police, will retire from K-State on April 1.
Grice’s career spans nearly 46 years in law enforcement and public safety, including over 31 years of leadership at K-State. He joined the university in 1994 as director of university police and went on to serve as director of public safety, university police chief and his current role of assistant vice president for university police and public safety/chief. In this role, he served as the chief law enforcement administrator for K-State’s campuses in Manhattan, Salina and Olathe, supporting a community of over 20,000 students.
