Former Kansas State special teams standout Stanton Weber has been hired as the Wildcats’ coordinator for that unit, head coach Collin Klein announced Thursday.

New Kanas State head football coach Collin Klein has made his first two additions to his staff official, as K-State announced the hiring of a pair of former Wildcats on Thursday.

A former special teams standout and four-year staff member at K-State Stanton Weber has been hired as the Wildcats’ special teams coordinator.

Former Wildcat quarterback Trey Scott, who worked 11 years in player personnel with NFL clubs and the last three years as a coaches and executives agent, has been hired as the football program’s general manager.

Weber has spent the last three seasons as the special teams coordinator at Toledo as he was named a finalist for the 2024 Special Teams Coordinator of the Year by FootballScoop in addition to the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) 35 Under 35 Leadership Institute.
